Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of InspectorsFinder. Last updated: August 2026.

Last updated: August 2026

By accessing or using InspectorsFinder (“Platform”), operated by InspectorsFinder Ltd (“we”, “us”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

Registered correspondence address: 42 York Street, London, UK TW1 3BW. Company registration number and ICO registration details will be published here once confirmed.

1. The service

The Platform provides tools to discover inspectors and inspection companies, communicate, submit requests, manage bookings, and share reports. We may modify features with reasonable notice where appropriate.

2. Accounts and roles

You must provide accurate registration information and safeguard credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account. Account types include Client, Individual Inspector, Inspection Company, and invited Staff/Admin users.

Inspectors and companies using the Platform act as independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms creates employment, partnership, or joint venture with InspectorsFinder Ltd.

3. Client, inspector and company agreements

Inspection work is performed by independent professionals or companies. Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, contracts for inspection services are between the client and the inspector/company. Platform tools facilitate discovery, messaging, scheduling and payment processing; they do not replace professional judgment or regulated advice.

4. Verification limitations

We may review documents, certifications and identity materials as part of onboarding. Verification checks reduce risk but do not guarantee competence, insurance coverage, licence validity at the time of work, or fitness for a particular purpose. Clients remain responsible for confirming credentials required for their project and jurisdiction.

5. Fees, commission and invoicing

Certain features are fee-based (subscriptions, featured listings, or platform commission on completed bookings). Prices, billing cycles, VAT treatment and any trial periods are presented before purchase or at checkout. Payment processing fees charged by Stripe (or other processors we nominate) may apply. See Pricing for current commercial terms.

6. Payments (Stripe) — not a licensed escrow bank account

Where in-product payments are enabled, card and payout flows are processed by Stripe (or Stripe Connect where used for inspector payouts). Funds are collected and released according to booking status and Stripe’s settlement rules — this is not a separate licensed escrow deposit account held by InspectorsFinder Ltd as a bank or escrow agent.

  • Release: typically after the related booking/report step is marked complete in-product, subject to holds for disputes or risk review.
  • Cancellation / refund: handled per the cancellation rules shown at booking and in Pricing; processor rules also apply.
  • Disputes / chargebacks: clients should first use in-platform dispute channels; chargebacks are managed under Stripe and card-scheme rules. We may freeze payouts while investigating.
  • Off-platform payments: paying outside the Platform for jobs introduced via InspectorsFinder is prohibited and may lead to suspension.

7. Cancellation, refunds and disputes

Cancellation windows, no-show rules and refund eligibility are described in Pricing and at the time of booking. Either party may raise a dispute through support. We may mediate commercially but are not an arbitral tribunal unless separately agreed.

8. Reports and intellectual property

Inspection reports and user content remain owned by their authors subject to any agreement between client and inspector. You grant us a licence to host, display and process content as needed to operate the Platform. InspectorsFinder content and software remain ours or our licensors’.

9. Professional negligence and insurance

Inspectors and companies are responsible for professional indemnity and other insurance required by law or good practice. InspectorsFinder Ltd does not underwrite inspection outcomes and is not liable for professional negligence of independent users, except to the extent liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Acceptable use

  • No unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading conduct.
  • No interference with security or availability.
  • No scraping or bulk extraction beyond permitted API use.
  • No solicitation to move Platform-introduced work off-platform to avoid fees.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach, fraud risk, non-payment, or to protect users. You may close your account subject to outstanding obligations and legal retention requirements.

12. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties not expressly stated herein.

13. Limitation of liability

Subject to mandatory UK consumer and other non-excludable rights: InspectorsFinder Ltd’s aggregate liability arising out of these Terms in any twelve (12) month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in platform fees for that period, or (b) one hundred pounds sterling (GBP £100), except where prohibited by law. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be limited.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

15. Complaints

Contact info@inspectorsfinder.com. We aim to acknowledge complaints within a reasonable time and escalate unresolved issues internally.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
